Got eggs in the Brinesea incubator, would LOVE the brooder!! NO MORE HEAT LAMPS!!!

  166. Oh how I wish I would have had this last spring. I'm positive the retail price is worth it when compared to the cost of electricity to run a heat lamp.

It's always chicken season here. I've got eggs in the Brinsea and chicks in the brooder, and I'm waiting on 2 chicken houses to be delivered. Chicken fever maybe?

Hi Kathy, I just read your virtual coop tour from a few years back because I want to redesign my coop this spring. Thanks for some great ideas! I have been doing some online research, and haven't seen this question addressed, though, and wonder if you can help: I am concerned that when I open the people door, there could be unwanted escapes. We do let our chickens free-range sometimes, but I want it to be at my choice, not theirs! How do you prevent chickens from crowding the door and running out when you open it? Thanks for any thoughts you might have on this. I get so much great information from your blog!
