I could really use a bag of Scratch and Peck. I use the SOY FREE bag because my breast tumor was diagnosed to be soy reactive. Soy is high in hormones it appears and I cannot have it. Store bought organic eggs come from chickens proudly fed with organic soy protein and so began my adventure in keeping a flock of my own. Thanks to you, I found Scratch and Peck Beand.

  7. Eating a diet that is healthy, organic and GMO-free is not easy or cheap or easy. This is why I have such a large garden and began raising chickens for their eggs this past spring. Thank you for finding sources of chicken feed like "Scratch and Peck" for us organic minded urban farmers.

  172. Great ideas shared. Problems with keeping chicken water from freezing. Using the DIY tin and light bulb. I have gone out three times today and frozen every time. We have a horrible wind. Could that be the problem?

My hubby made my 28 chickens 2 bulk feeders. No more lugging feed on a daily basis. So much easier. Havent figured out how long they will last yet but I do know it sure has gotten rid of the head ache in the mornings!
