Busy week decorating the house and coops, attending parent/teacher conferences at school and shopping, shopping, shopping! Please enjoy a few photos from here in scenic New England where we went from snow to 60°F in the blink of an eye this week!

________________
I said I would show up for Thursday- I didn't say I would be happy about it.
I brewed my coffee with Red Bull instead of water. Right now, I can see noises.
I really need an alarm clock that brings me my coffee.
Don't worry about my caffeine consumption- worrya bout what I might be capable of without it.
I'm UP. If you want perky, get a coffeemaker.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

  11. I would love to win the Koop Clean. It is fantastic, but I had to drive thirty miles to get the last bag. (Literally, it was the last bag they had, I had them hold it for me.). So hard to find anywhere near me, but I would drive 50 miles for it, it's so good!

  35. The pics are great. Our temps in southern Missouri did the same thing. We went from extremely cold to 71 then cold again. Now we are wet and warm again. The temps were in the low 50's. I think my feathered babies are getting confused about what season it is. I know I am. Lol. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I think I better go bundle-up, it feels like it's getting colder out there. *sigh*

  59. Love Koop Clean. I have poop trays in my coop and because the straw in it is chopped it allows me to scoop around the clumps of poop that accumulate over night. This saves me from dumping the whole tray and saves $$$ Longer straw that I had used doesn't allow you to pick out the clumps because they interlock more like pick up sticks. That alone is a great selling point for me. Even more important though is the added PDZ to the Koop Clean which absorbs the amonia odors from the poop. My coop has no odor. You can stick your head in and no odor. Today I threw a lot of it under the coop. The coop sits about 2 1/2 ft above the sandy run. I am building them a cozy place to hang out that will be a bit warmer than just walking on the sand. I hope this works out and they don't lay the eggs there. Just thought of that. We'll keep you posted lol

I love the idea of Koop Clean but they do not carry it around here. I use both straw and PDZ in the coop so it is as close as I can get at the moment. Our local Countrymax is supposed to carry it soon. I researched it earlier this year when you introduced it on your website. That is when I started using PDZ which I can readily get at Tractor Supply. Thank you for the great info!

Koop clean is a great discovery. I was using shavings in my coop, which houses to rescued Indian Runner ducks and three rescued kitties from a hoard situation (separate quarters of course). Rather then shoveling unusable shavings out every couple days, I lightly agitate the Koop Clean and take out far less amounts of dirty bedding. It mixes into the garden for mulching much easier too and seems much warmer the shavings.

My girls would love to try a bag of Koop Clean. With the cold snowy winter we have had so far, they are spending lots of time inside. This would help them continue to smell pretty, even when they can get outside for fresh air. :-)

  195. I have been using Sweet PDZ sprinkled on and under my coop bedding for about a year now. A friend who has horses told me about it initially. I talked with the manufacturer and once I felt it was safe decided to give it a try. I can't believe people have not been using it all along. It really works. And now a company that is manufacturing coop bedding with Sweet PDZ already in it...wish I had thought of it first. Great solution to some of those coop problems we all face every day.
