  61. Winning some egg cartons would be very nice right now, my ladies are laying nicely and I was so surprised how much cartons cost! Part of the high cost is buying them locally in small quantities but I can't order 300 to bring the costs down. I hate to pass the cost of the cartons on to my customers (and of course I ask them to return cartons for refill at a discount). Way to go Kathy, a great prize!

I've been blogging for about 2 years now, and I'm glad to revisit one of my first recipes and reflect on what I've learned.

  103. I really enjoy your blogs about your flock! They are very helpful to me as I have never kept chickens before getting my first girls 3 summers ago. This year I have expanded my flock from just golden comets. I have added 3 white sex link hens, a buff hen, a french black copper maran roo and 2 hens, and 2 each olive egger and ameraucans ( one of which is a roo but I can't tell the difference between the two breeds) I love my chickens and want to continue to learn more. Thanks for your help and good luck in your battle to keep your flock!
