The long holiday weekend started with rain, which was welcome as last week’s heat was beginning to take a toll on everyone, including Doc Brown’s “hair.” But the rest of the week was amazingly beautiful, which provided ample opportunity to enjoy, admire and photograph both my chickens and a variety of flowers in the yard. I hope you enjoy these snapshots of the past week in my backyard!

I'm going to try to drink less coffee & more water. Pffftt!! Bwahahaha! Sorry. I can't even say that with a straight face. Mmmmm....COFFEE!
I COULD be a morning person...if Dunkin' Donuts delivered. (Just kidding. No I couldn't.)
Coffee? Did someone say "COFFEE?"
Coffee- because prison orange is not my color.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think my cup of coffee just said, "I own you."
Backyard Chicken Keepers, Be Heard!
Photobomb Level: Chicken. Payback...NAILED IT.
How do I take my coffee? Seriously? VERY SERIOUSLY.
I could really use a day in between Saturday and Sunday.
It's 5am and you're trying to sleep? Allow me to sing you the song of my people.
They said I could be anything...so I became a pinwheel.
