Flock Focus Friday, 5/9/14

Spring chickens!
This week's Flock Focus Friday is heavy on fluffy cuteness as we hatched the eggs from P. Allen Smith's flock and welcomed the chicks into ours!
Spring brings ushers in change and new flock members as we say goodbye to Spartacus.
The circle of life played out in the backyard this week and while we welcomed new flock members, we said goodbye to Spartcus who crossed the rainbow bridge. RIP pretty boy.
Spartacus was a Serama x Red Sex Link rooster.
This amazing rainbow appeared across the street from our hose this week after a quick rain storm passed through.

I really want one of these waterers...I bought the stuff to make one but don't know when that will get accomplished. I enjoyed watching the chicks this week. Sorry you had such a rough hatch though...they all needed a little help I guess. Look forward to watching any future hatches!

The waterer would really be a boon for my small flock because they keep spilling the bucket that I have to use to water them with now. Looks like such a nice product.
