I am already subscribed to your blog via email, I liked the brinsea FB page and said you sent me, and here is my comment: I sure would like to win one of these. It would help to cut down on my electric bill I am certain. Plus these big hot red heat lights scare me leaving them on all night while I am sleeping.
I hatch a batch of chicks every now and then from my own tiny flock of Salmon Faverolles, Golden Laced Brahmas, and Blue laced Red Wyandottes to sell the chicks just to pay the bills around here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Nothing better than hatching and raising your own baby chicks with this wonderful Brinsea brooder -- Thank you!

  85. I have a hen that wants to sit on eggs. She was laying eggs and I would get the
new one each day. Well 2 other hens arrived from no where and laid eggs one day.
The next day something got all of them. So I went and got a glass egg and put in
nest to kill what ever got them. It went ok for awhile. Then they all moved to
another location and laid eggs. I found them. Well 2 days later something got
those eggs too. The original hen came back to nest. She laid egg with glass one.
. Now she doesn't get off he nest but to eat. I have to steal her egg. She
doesn't seem to care gets back on nest and sits on glass egg. We do this each
day. Some days she doesn't lay and egg but still sits. We are about to move and
I need help as what to do with her. Do I take glass egg out. Do I now get a pen
and put her in it to move her? Do you have any advice for me at all? We really
enjoy your email and reading about you beautiful chickens too.
    Thanks for help.
    wanda and tommy

  86. Already liked and commented on their page for the last couple brooder giveaways. Kinda don't want to spam their page by commenting yet again lol. Hope that doesn't disqualify me. Need one of these! I had an incident with a faulty heat lamp in my brooder and almost set my spare room on fire, so I've been using a regular bulb. No fires, but doesn't keep the chickydoos warm enough.
