  1. Just came back from Rural King with 30 chicks (it's a limit 10 rebate on sr generic chicks) and 2 ducks that dil & gdaughter had to have. We are either going to have lots of eggs for cooking or one hell of a barbecue. So there are new chicken keepers that could use to read that dummy book.

    Kathy,
It's pretty darn white around here again, with fresh snow, and I needed a bit of color in my life. So I'm sharing 3 beet recipes with you today--a skillet supper affectionately dubbed Hot Pink Mess, my version of a Danish open-faced liver & meatloaf sandwich, and a vegan orange-spiked beet and walnut spread.
    Thanks for hosting!

I've heard great things about the book, "Put An Egg on It" though it's always nice to have yet another Chicken Health book on the shelf. Thank goodness spring is finally here! Our Easter Eggers are laying their various colored eggs for us to enjoy (and enjoy we do!) and one of our hens laid her second batch of chicks, ever. I'm happy to say she's being a much better mama this time around. I imagine it's easier for all of us after our first child or chicks! Thank you for your lovely site and yet another great giveaway!

I'd love to get Chicken Health for Dummies. I just lost one of my girls to Marek's Disease. One of my friends had to tell me what it was. I'd never heard of it.

I thought I was close to being an expert on chickens until my sweetest little bantam developed signs of Marek's a few weeks ago. I would definitely appreciate "Chicken Health for Dummies". Thank you for this opportunity.
