Flock Focus Friday, 2/21/14

Please join me in welcoming my new sponsor, Avian Aqua Miser! Mark Hamilton and Anna Hess are the husband-wife team behind this mom-and-pop company. Their adventures in homesteading on their Virginia farm led them to develop a system for delivering clean water to their own flock that has evolved into a line of affordable chicken waterers available to yours. I am delighted to bring them on board as a sponsor and to introduce you to their line of poop-free chicken waterers.
See all of this pretty snow that fell this week? It couldn't last forever and now it's a big, watery mess that has kept me busy bailing out the basement and around the coops all day.

And yet the back horse pasture is still covered in snow! Hope yours all melts soon as well, and spring is on it's way. I noticed several of our tulip and daffodil bulbs are sprouting!! 121. We also offer EZ Miser kits, which make it easy to put as many spouts as you want into the side of a bucket, and Avian Aqua Miser Original kits for putting nipples in the bottom of a bucket. We plan to make a 55 gallon barrel this summer with half a dozen EZ Miser spouts around the outside for nearly endless pasture watering, for example. Definitely lots of possibilities if you use your imagination! :-)
