ReplyDeleteI'm popping in to share my recipe for DIY herbal cough drops. The only use 3 ingredients and take 5 minutes to make.
Fighting off an illness is the worst time to fill yourself and your kiddos with artificial colors and flavors and immune suppressing sugar.

I follow by google reader. And I have to laugh because the reason I follow is that I'm secretly obsessed with chickens, but also because there's such a variety of stuff going on at the clever chick's blog hop. Lots of different things to feed the soul and this giveaway (of two totally different things) just proves my point! :)

ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog and your FB page and I am completely in love with Rachel! I hope to win the giveaway for the Veterycin. I have just had the first occasion to use anything like it on one of my roosters and the staff at Country Max where I get my feed and seeds and such swore by it. My handsome Mellow has a terrible wound on his leg that took me a number of days to find as it was in the feathered part of his leg. No blood and I consulted with lots of chicken friends to no avail. I have been spraying it 3x daily with the Veterycin and was nearly ready to give up but today it looks like it's closing up a bit. Please send lots of chicken love to him. I would hate to lose him. This is him last summer with my little Easter Egger just sitting under him as she loves to do.

ReplyDeleteHave needed to get some of the wound spray. Maybe I will win and won't have to order it :)
ReplyDeleteCurrently using Vetericyn to treat a wing laceration on one of my young legbar hens. Don't know what I'd do without it. On another note I had to confess to my husband today that I placed an order for chicks yesterday! Even though we are currently shopping for an incubator!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many great blogs out there! I can't wait to make some crackle signs for my farm store!
ReplyDeleteI am wanting to build a chicken first aid kit. This would be a great first item!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips here and a chance to win = thank you Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win one of these. Thank you for the chance.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt seems there's more to it than throwing some birds in a coop, such as we were given. Prolapsed vents, coccidiosis (which we believe our poor Lucy-Lu succumbed to), the dreaded bumblefoot, Super-gluing beaks and wonky legs, et al. Who knew? Certainly not us and the more we read and experience with our own small group, the more I realize how little I know about the endeavor. Sorry the girls are on that end of the learning curve. And whereas you've got great tips and advice, the greater picture can be overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteLove all the information and neat items you have on your blog! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the wound spray or the adorable heart candle. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and giving us opportunities to win great items. I love your blog!
