ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your posts and hope to win for my chickens I'm getting later this spring. I'm reading and collecting all the info I need or find interesting as I've never had chickens on my own. Thanks for the giveaway. Found these treats in my TSC store.
ReplyDeleteMy girls love their treats. What is the rule of thumb giving them treats?
ReplyDeleteI'm a subscriber and what lucky hens would love some Happy Hen Treats?
ReplyDeleteBuy some live meal worms from the pet store. Take a bucket add some oats, bran, chicken feed -any dry grains or cereal will do. Add the live mealworms to the mix. Once a week I put in a slice of bread or a slice of potato or apple for moisture -they love it. The worms will turn into larvae then beetles that lay eggs - at this stage you can move the beatles to a new bucket to start another colony of mealwroms. And presto you have mealworms whenever you want. They are not smelly or dirty.
ReplyDeleteMy Guineas LOVE these!
ReplyDeleteMy hens and roos would love some of those treats :-)
ReplyDeleteI get your emails -love it!
