Thanks for hosting! I shared a funny story because while reviewing my most visited posts this year, this one made me LOL (again) Thought it was a great way to bring in the new year, with a good laugh at myself. :) Happy New Year my friend!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to your RSS feed through My Yahoo, and I'd love to win this giveaway! I just came here to search your site for a hint as to why my buff orpington looks like she has dandruff on her head and a bald spot on her side....no lice eggs, though.
ReplyDeleteVetercyn sounds like a good product. I will have to give it a try. I woner if they sell it at my Big R Ranch supply.
ReplyDeleteThanks for becoming a Follower of my Blog and inviting me over to participate in your wonderful party. I have added a link and I am now a Follower of your Blog. Take care and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe in my RSS feed, and would love to try this product!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting and for inviting me! :)
ReplyDeleteThey may, Susie and if they don't, feed stores will usually get it if you request it.
ReplyDeleteHelen, my best guess is that she is re-growing feathers and the 'dandruff' is from the waxy coating on feather shafts. The bald spot is probably an area that just hasn't re-grown feathers yet. Check out my blog post on molting and see if it looks familiar: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/12/molting-what-is-it-and-how-to-manage-it.html
ReplyDeleteCool, I look forward to the laugh, Roxana! Thanks for linking up!

I'm an avid user of Vetericyn. I use it on the chickens, horses and dogs. It really is a great product. It clears up rainrot on horses that other products haven't worked on, helps bumble foot on chickens and is great for all the little cuts and scrapes animals seem to get. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the invite. I love this product. Use it on my horse when needed.

I am new to blogging, so I hope I have worked it out OK! It's all a learning curve :-) I enjoy reading your blogs, emails and Facebook pages. It has given me lots of info when building our coop and keeping hens in the USA. I am origianally from the UK and products tend to differ so your site has been great. As an example, we mainly use chicken wire in the UK. Hardwear cloth was a new thing to me after reading your blog - I guess because in Britain, they don't get so many predators! We now have hardwear cloth around our new run. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this product!! I use their eye medication on the girls...
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to start exploring some of the linked blogs!!
Keep up the great work

ReplyDeleteAmy, this is THE ticket for your dog. Good luck in the giveaway; if your number doesn't come up, do your puppy a favor and get this for him/her.
ReplyDeleteI do not, Amy. I use sand in my coops and runs and all around my coops (I think you've seen them, right?) and the sand keeps things from being muddy except in the wettest, flooding type situations. http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/09/chicken-coop-bedding-sand-litter.html

ReplyDeleteI need to get a first aid kit together soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I have seen the effects of Veterycin. Our foster dog, Polly disappeared and endured a horrific laceration one night She did not come home until the next morning. The vet said the wound was too old to stitch up. So, it had to heal on its own. We had oral antibiotics and the instruction to keep it clean. I had used this product in the eye drop form and seen miraculous effects. I knew it would do the trick on Polly. I would love to be in the running for another bottle. Who knows what this year holds and it is always good to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteHappy NewYear! We have a foster beagle, Polly, who endured a horrific laceration one evening while she was missing. By the time we found her and sought vet care, the wound was too old to stitch up. It had to heal on its own. We were given oral antibiotics and the instruction to keep the wound clean. I had used Veterycin eye drop solution and had amazing results. I knew this product for wounds was just what I needed. Polly is doing great. After about a month the wound is healed. A new bottle would be great for 2013. We have no idea what the year to come holds but it always pays to be prepared. Thanks!!
