With 230 entries this week, I was in blog visitor heaven! Thanks to all of you who linked up; I am inspired by your creativity, resourcefulness and very often, wit.
Need a little laugh? Swing by Little Farm in the Big City; Betty and her friend Michelle are serving up a big ol' plate full of holiday humor with 10 "Holiday Eating Tips." Here's a little taste: "1. Avoid carrot
sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the
Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door
where they're serving rum balls." Enough said. ☺
Amy at A Healthy Life for Me, like most backyard chicken-keepers, is always thinking about new and creative ways to use her fresh eggs. Her deviled eggs recipe certainly qualifies as a new and creative. Check out her kicked-up recipe for Spicy Deviled Eggs.
Thank you to Nici at Posed Perfection for showing us how she makes her Burlap Bird ornaments, you KNOW I'm going to make some burlap hens this week!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this party!
I have decided to link up our traditional table cener piece in Croatia – Advent Corolla. It has 4 candles – symbols for 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. At every Sunday dinner, family lights up candles; this Sunday we will light first candle, next Sunday two etc… These candles are put out not by blowing but with piece of bread dipped in wine, usually done by the youngest in the house.
I also link traditional Nativity scene placed under the Christmas tree. It is assembled at Christmas Eve by whole family. The figures of Three Wise Men travel slowely toward Jesus' crib untill Epiphany (Jan. 6th) when they meet Jesus.
I hope you will like it!

I am loving your blog even though I do not have chickens. I live in a rural gated golf community and our HOA will not allow fowl. I have 3 acres in a wooded area and I think folks wouldn't know if I had chickens so I may try. My biggest concern is predators. We have a lot of raccoon, coyotes, bobcats and possums. I would have to build a very safe coop and some kind of portable run so the chicken can forage. I grew up on a hobby farm and we had chickens. Nothing more fun than having a box of chicks arrive from the feed store!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower to your RSS feed. The soaps look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to GFC as Freah Plate! These soaps would be great to try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up, Liz and good luck in the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThank you for following and for linking up, Liz!
ReplyDeleteThank you for following, Ann. I love to hear when non-chicken-keepers are with me! Lots of people are able to keep chickens stealthily. They're really not noisy and you have a ton of land. You could very easily have a chicken run attached to the coop that is static and covered by netting to keep them safe from aerial predators. There are also coops designed not to look like chicken coops just for people like you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up April! So happy to have you with us!
ReplyDeleteYum! I'm looking forward to reading your post, Lori. Thanks for linking up!
